When the Movement Control Order (MCO) came into force in Kuching two months ago, a dear friend of mine, Joachim, somewhat persuaded me to buy the FIFA 20.
FIFA 20 is a computer game. Its virtual football, and I’ve always enjoyed the game since I learned how to play computers. This goes way back to secondary school.
When I was in university, I invested some money into buying a random no-brand game-pad. The purchase was for FIFA 2003.
That game-pad broke a couple of days after playing FIFA 20, and I had to buy a new one.
CONSIDERING MY GAME-PAD OPTIONS
Since I now have a stable income, I figured I should invest in a better game-pad, and not some random no-brand game-pad like I had in 2003. In addition to that, prices of game-pads have decreased over the years, so it would be easy to find good game-pads at unbelievably lower prices.
However, I didn’t want to burst my wallet when buying a game-pad since I am not a professional gamer, requiring high-end gaming devices.
That said, I decided to go for a basic game-pad from branded companies like Logitech, and Microsoft.
After scouting around, I figured the Logitech F310 game-pad was the cheapest in the market and soon made my order. I also opted for a wired game-pad as I didn’t want to be bothered with charging the batteries of the game-pad.
I received the game-pad a week ago, and below is the unboxing video.
VERDICT ON THE LOGITECH F310 GAME-PAD
Let me first tell you that I can only compare this game-pad with the old game-pad I had.
This means my comparison might not be good enough for gaming enthusiast which need better game-pads.
Regardless, I felt that this game-pad was a definite upgrade from my old game-pad.
Every button responded well to my clicks and I noticed playing FIFA 20 was so much easier with this game-pad.
All the buttons had a function in FIFA 20, and this was unlike my older game-pad which was somewhat lacking in that department.
What surprised me most was how ‘soft’ the USB port fitted the USB connector to the game-pad. This meant I didn’t have to force the game-pad out of the port and it held in there well enough for gaming.
Aside from that, the built of the game-pad itself was good and it felt reassuring in my hands.
I believed that my gaming experience improved with this game-pad.
WHERE TO BUY THE F310 GAME-PAD
There’s plenty of places to buy the game-pad, but the two main online stores I visit is Shopee and Lazada.
Both offer the Logitech F310 for just under RM90. However, I decided to go for Shopee as they offered free shipping.
