Xiaomi Mi Dual Driver Earphones

I recently purchased the Xiaomi Mi Dual Driver Earphones

The earphones looked like what Apple iPods, but these ones had a wire connected to them.

In terms of looks, I do think they look rather good, as they do seem very modern despite their simplicity in design.

ADVANTAGES OF THE XIAOMI MI DUAL DRIVER EARPHONES

The best quality of these earphone is the 3.5mm audio jack (ear plug) which is L-shaped.

This means it’s more comfortable when plugged into the phone, allowing me to use the phone up-right, especially when I’m lying down.  It also means the cable would last longer because I won’t accidentally pull the wires when disconnecting the earphone from the audio jack.

Another good thing about the earpiece is the design. The design is called ‘half in-ear’ and it works nicely when lying down.  This meant my ear won’t hurt even when I lie down sideways.

Some earphones are just too long or bulky, the only way to use them is by looking straight up when lying down.

The sound was also adequate, and it’s noise counseling features were evident when in use.

I found the cable to be soft, and I was told it’s actually Military-grade Fiber Cable which is stretchable.  I am not sure how long this will last though.

SOUND QUALITY

To be honest, the sound quality of these earphones is rather lacking in my opinion. I prefer plenty of bass in my earphones and these earpieces seem rather flat.

While the earphone cable is soft, I have to admit I am not a fan as I prefer cables to be rather rigid.

This cable seems rather fragile and it gets into a certain shape if bent too long.

CONCLUSION

For the price of RM65, I’d expect better quality earphone to be honest.

I think with this earphones, Xiaomi concentrated on making a quality product, but didn’t focus too much on the getting the bass up.

If compared with the JVC Inner Ear headphones I reviewed recently, the JVC is better.

WHERE TO BUY XIAOMI MI DUAL DRIVER EARPHONES

On Shopee, the Xiaomi Dual Driver earphones are priced so much cheaper.  When I checked, it was just RM38 for an original piece.

I bought mine from an authorized Mi store and paid more for it.  I do regret my purchase to be honest, but I did buy it under desperation.
