Dong Cheng cordless grinder review

Recently I bought the DCSM03-100 Dong Cheng cordless grinder simply because I got tired pulling cables when using the grinder especially when I have to climb to higher places, and this is my review.

I have used the grinder for about 8 weeks, and this is my personal unpaid Dong Cheng cordless grinder review.

Advantages OF DongCheng Cordless grinder

The best thing about the Dong Cheng Cordless Grinder is that it is easy to bring around, as it is cordless. I sometimes use grinders high up on the wall, so having a wireless grinder is really helpful.

In addition to that, the grinder is also lightweight, being just 2kg. This is equally important esspecially when using the grinder on high places as my arms won’t tire fast.

Easy to hold and handle

In addition to that, the grinder also came cheap at just RM215. This is possible only if you already own Dong Cheng battery packs like me, as I can reuse the batteries for all Dong Cheng tools.

The battery packs alone adds about RM300 to the price of the complete set, so buying the tool without the battery saves me a lot.

The grinder also comes with rotary protection which somewhat disables the grinder from working if it feels it has lost speed. The grinder also has an anti-restart and electronic brake function, two fucntions I only realize it had when I was grinding some hard stuff the other day.

Ventilation for the grinder operation

During the incident, the item I was grinding was hard, and I could see the grinder was working longer to cut the item.

After a while, the wheel stopped and I panicked. However, when the grinder cooled down a bit, it functioned as usual after that.

Problems with Dong Cheng Cordless Grinder

The biggest problem about the Dong Cheng Cordless Grinder is the price although I do think I bought my grinder at a bargain because in a normal brick and mortar store, a similar model cost over RM325 (in Kuching). That said, I only paid RM215 for the grinder. In case you are wondering, I bought my grinder from HERE.

While it is cheaper than other known brands, it is still pricier than its wired versions.

Aside from that, power is another issue.

While the cordless grinder is strong, it doesn’t match the power which is provided by corded brothers which are more powerful.

I also personally didn’t like the power butto, or rather how it gets switch on which to me needs too much effort.

The power switch which is a bit too hard to switch on.

DongCheng cordless grinder review conclusion

That said, the Dong Cheng cordless grinder is perfect for anyone needing to do some grinding, cutting or polishing without the need to have too much power.

It It’s also suitable for those who like yo move places when working and already have a Dong Cheng battery.

In terms of pricing, the cheapest I could find online was the one I bought using THIS LINK.
