HTC Global announced via their Facebook page and twitter today that they will release Gingerbread in coming weeks, but with selected Apps. The announcement goes as follows:
To resolve Desire’s memory issue and enable the upgrade to Gingerbread, we will cut select apps from the release.
Look for status updates starting next week. We apologize for any confusion.
As a HTC Desire user, I can’t help be happier, but I wonder which Apps whould be given the ‘No-go’. Time will tell, but I still wished that HTC would just remove little used HTC Sense, and install the full version Gingerbread (Android 2.3).
Now, let’s hope the wait won’t take too long. I see my phone needing it fast. Super fast.
Until then, there’s no reason to jump anytime soon just yet.
Pardon me on my lack of knowledge on h/p technology. I thought you were talking about food. Muahahaha!
