Last March, I bought the Macce Foldable Mountain Bike through Shopee.
Yes, this is a super late post and I meant to write about it sooner, but was caught up in other work.
Anyway, I was intrigue by the fact I could buy a bicycle from Shopee, so I decided to give it a try.
One of those folding mountain bikes drew my attention, and at RM 324, the purchase came with a RM14.31 sea shipping option to Kuching, which was waived by Shopee.
This practically made the bicycle a steal in my opinion.

Before I tell you what I liked about the bicycle, here’s the specifications:

As you can see, the bicycle is made of steel and it does have a front and rear absorber. It can also be folded into half.
What I liked about the Macce Foldable Mountain Bike
Upon arrival of the bike, it took me about an hour to assemble it together.
Technically I only needed to fix the tires, peddles and seat, but because I’ve never fixed a bike for the past 30 years, the whole process was rather slow.
Generally speaking, I like how the bike looks.
I also like that it was a folding bike which meant it was easy to transport.
The absorbers in both the front and back worked well enough to improve comfort when riding, and the bicycle ride itself was smooth.
It wasn’t also that heavy so I could easy carry it when needed.
Overall, I was pretty happy with the RM324 I spent as the bicycle did its job well.
What I disliked
But after riding the bicycle for a few weeks I soon realized that the bicycle wasn’t for me. I felt the handles were rather hard and holding them for long periods of time hurts.
Also, I didn’t favor the squeaking sound the absorbers, especially the rear absorber was making.
I tried to oil it, but since it was covered, it wasn’t easy. I could reduce the sound but there was always a sound which in turn became annoying.
Aside from that, while I do like the fact the bicycle did its job well, I wasn’t satisfied with my ride. I felt it was still not comfortable enough for me to go beyond 10KM shall I want to, and so I decided I should get a proper mountain bike.
I eventually sold off this bicycle and got myself a new Forever Mountain Bike SFM753.

As I said, I bought the bicycle on Shopee.
The Macce Foldable Mountain Bike is quite popular online, and I saw it being sold for more than RM500 in a local bicycle store.
If you are in West Malaysia, you probably can order the bike at its cheapest price from any store in Shopee or Lazada.

Conclusion
The Macce Foldable Mountain Bike is a good bicycle for beginners and those seeking to bring their rides in small cars.
Its foldable capability means its easy to transport and move around.
However, if you are looking to cycle further than 10KM, or cycle continuously, I wouldn’t recommend the bicycle because it’s not made for such ride.
